tldr; I like video games and want to make them.
I took a keen interest in video games when I was first shown Super Mario Land on the original Game Boy. I was intrigued and needed to know more about them, so I spent the following 2 decades getting as lost as I could in the medium.
Between playing as many games as I could get my hands on, starting a YouTube channel in 2006 dedicated to hunting for glitches, and attempting to start my own independent game dev studio, Hapax Studios, in 2012, everything I do is to further nurture my passion for games.
Among becoming a retro game collector and enthuiast, I've taken a distict fascination to the User Experience design of games; or in other words the representation of information, systemic infrastructure, and the explicit handling of input from the player to the game world. A bad user experience will often ruin a player's enjoyment of a game in spite of magnificent artwork or mechanics.
I want to continue to grow my skills as a designer, meaning that I strive to perform the greatest of my ability in every challenge I face. I believe that there is a learning opportunity in every project, like how there is always something valuable to take away from every game ever released.
PS. My favourite game is Chrono Trigger.
